Explore three levels of camp positions and responsibilities below.
Camp Staff
For first-time or returning staff to experience working with groups of children in grades K-8. Jr. Staff (under 18) and Staff (18 and older, high school graduates) work together to lead group activities and provide overall care for the group. Staff will be responsible for a group of campers and will move with the group throughout the day, fully participating in activities with the campers.
Staff will manage groups within the state DOH, and in accordance with the American Camp Association Ratios.
We look for individuals who can be a positive role model, a friend, and a guardian. All staff are required to participate in all activities. Staff must complete 40 hours of training before working at camp. Training will consist of group/ online/ practical skills.

Specialists
A specialist is a staff member who works with and instructs all campers in a specific area. A specialist needs the knowledge to lead and teach in their area of expertise. Advanced education, certification, or experience instructing in the designated specialty is required.
All specialists are responsible for submitting lesson plans and leading campers during their designated Mods. All staff are required to participate in Stay Lates/ Sleep Overs & Family Nights. Staff must complete 40 hours of training before working at camp. Training will consist of group/online/ practical skills.

Unit Leaders/Coordinators
All supervisors can run an area or unit. Each supervisor must have experience working with children. We look for individuals who are studying or have a degree in teaching, social work, outdoor education, sports, or recreation.
This position requires developing and implementing all aspects of staff supervision, age-appropriate programming, and communication with camper families.
All staff are required to participate in camp activities. Staff are required to complete 40+ hours of training before working at camp. Training will consist of group/online/ practical skills.
- Supervise Staff, Junior Staff, and/or Specialists
- Outreach to camper families regularly throughout the summer
- Return all parent phone calls in a timely fashion
