The Massachusetts Avenue Project was started by neighborhood residents on Buffalo's West Side in 1992, and was officially incorporated in 2000.
Since that time, programming has been implemented that has employed more than 650 West Side teenagers, and since 2007, has helped 95% of participants graduate from high school and enroll in college! They have also developed models for sustainable urban food production and youth leadership, increased healthy food access throughout Buffalo, and built partnerships to promote regional food system development.
Please join us for our monthly speaker series as we help The Massachusetts Avenue Project gear up for their annual fundraiser, discussing topics regarding to urban farming and markets, youth programming, and sustainability.
