Jewish Film Festival
The BIJFF, now in its 26th season, is the second longest running annual festival of its kind, presenting cinematic depictions of Jewish life and culture.
The 26th Annual Buffalo International Jewish Film Festival, 2011 officially opens on Saturday night, May 14th. The Festival opens Motzei Shabbat (after the Sabbath) with the film Nora's Will, preceded by the short film Advice and Dissent. Please visit www.bijff.com for the complete Festival schedule.
Along with our JCC's building renovation, our JCC is also working on "renovating" the fact that we are indeed a Jewish organization. We are putting the J back into the JCC. As Shabbat ends late in the day in May, our Gala Celebration will be our Closing Night program on Thursday, May 19th. There will be kosher snacks, live music, a few surprises, and oh yes a movie too! The Closing Night film will be The Klezmatics: On Holy Ground.
Again, please visit www.bijff.com for complete Festival details including trailers for most of the featured films.
See you at the movies
